Happy Australia Day!
Australia Day is fast approaching, and if you're running out of time to organise your festivities, we can help.
In this post, we're sharing a handful of recipes for some of our favourite Aussie treats, to provide you with some fun inspiration for an Australia Day feast!
We're also giving away a new printable - our mini Australian flags, that are perfect for decorating your delicious food items!
So let's get into it!
Tim Tam Tarts with Raspberries
Every Aussie loves a Tim Tam biscuit. And Delicious have provided us with the ultimate in tarts, using a pack of Tim Tams in the recipe.
Of course, you may find difficulty in making the recipe without eating the contents of the biscuit pack first. Good luck with that.
You can find the sweet recipe here.
Aussie Sausage Rolls
Using Aussie beef and puff pastry, these sausage rolls are quick and easy to make, not to mention absolutely yummy!
You will find the recipe from Taste.
Traditional Chocolate Lamingtons
Lamingtons are a much-treasured treat for Aussies. A sweet butter sponge cut into squares and rolled in melted chocolate and coconut, there are several varieties. The traditional ones, such as these, are plain cake inside. Others have a layer of berry jam (usually strawberry or raspberry) and cream.
This scrumptious recipe comes from Taste.
Barbecued Prawn Cocktail Burgers
Healthy and delicious, these burgers are another recipe from Taste.
If you've never had a cheesy mite scroll, you're missing out! A pastry made with Vegemite and cheese, they're yum! And they're surprisingly simple to make.
You will find the recipe at Best Recipes.
We simply cannot forget the quintessential Aussie meat pie. Follow the recipe from SBS.
And have you mastered the Tim Tam Slam? No? Me neither!
Let's both learn how with The Spruce Eats.
