In this like, totally rad tutorial, I show you how to cut out and assemble the Arcade Machine Party Favor Box.
This cute printable favour box is perfect for an 80's party or gaming party. It's a great size for holding food treats or other little goodies for your gaming party guests.
The file comes in PDF format, and as you can see in the pictures, you can personalise the editable file with names and party details before printing.
The entire box printable fits onto a single A4/Letter Size page. The design is in three separate pieces, with the outer part of the machine is in one piece, the machine front panels in another and the last piece being the screen.

1. Edit Print and Trim Your Arcade Machine
I recommend printing on crisp white card stock of at least 120gsm, or thick photo paper. In my example, matte card stock has been used.
Trim out the parts of the box, taking care to avoid accidentally cutting off the tabs. When printed and cut, the box pieces will appear as shown above.
Be sure to cut out the screen panel in the machine front, where it says CUT OUT.

2. Fold Into Shape
Fold down at every tab edge and between every different coloured panel. Fold the orange sides of the main box piece away from the blue panel, which is the back of the box. The purple panels are the top and bottom of the box. This box in the pictures doesn't have a bottom - I added it later. But yours will.
Scoring the card stock first or folding against a ruler's edge helps to achieve crisper folds.
You will end up with a three-sided box case with an open front, that looks like the image below.

4. Attach Screen

3. Stick It
Stick down the outer box sides (orange panels) to the top and bottom panels (purple) by gluing or taping the white tabs.
You will end up with a three-sided box case with an open front, that looks like the image below.

4. Attach Screen
Using the white tabs, glue or tape the game screen just inside the outer box sides, as shown above. You will be sticking the front panels over the top of this, so make sure you leave room to add them in the next step.

5. Attach Front Panels
Finally use the tabs to stick in the front panels over the top of the screen , as shown above. The front piece sticks to the box sides with its own tabs and to the top/bottom by their tabs. It can be a bit fiddly to get every tab in place, but stick with it (ahem, pardon the pun).
Make sure you add your goodies at this stage before you seal the box closed.
So you will end up with the box looking like this.
